B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology (ML'!) is an Undergraduate Program offered by the Combined PG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. B.Sc MLT Course is a 3-year degree program in which students will learn skills of diagnosing and helping doctors in finalizing the entire problem. It allows medical aspirants to be a part of this stream without a degree of MBBS degree. The students perform various diagnostic analyses on body fluids, which include hematology, bacteriology, immunology, chemistry, and microscopy during the course. The subjects taught in the program are Clinical Endocrinology & Toxicology Lab, Diagnostic Molecular Biology Lab, Diagnostic Cytology, etc.


The programme aims to provide technical training in laboratory medicine. The students receive an exposure along with hands-on training in the various areas of laboratory medicine such as Phlebotomy, Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology, Cytopathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Parasitology, Serology, & Blood Banking.


The trained technologists are involved in collecting information, sampling, testing, reporting & documenting medical investigations in the following Job Areas:
•    Hospitals/clinics (government/private)
•    Nursing Homes
•    Commercial clinical Laboratories
•    Pathological labs
•    Forensic/ crime laboratories
•    Military hospitals(army/navy/air-force)
•    Pharmaceutical companies
•    Educational Institute
